Cobalt Lake Ventures' approach to investing in private companies starts with an end objective in mind: to assist companies and all their stakeholders in winning at higher levels in their competitive markets.  In this regard, Cobalt Lake Ventures’ investment and business approach seeks to add value by working collaboratively with company management to design and to implement strategic initiatives that unlock and create employee, customer and shareholder value.  We focus on private companies based in Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota, where we believe Cobalt Lake Ventures and management can work together to make a meaningful impact on the business that results in the creation of significant value for all stakeholders.

• Investment Strategy – We partner with companies in Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota, which currently are not capturing their full value.  Companies in the $10 – $150 million revenue range are our target marketplace.  We bring capital, innovative strategies and an interesting capability to work with companies to achieve successful outcomes.  We are passionate about being a catalyst that unlocks and creates shareholder value. We are true partners with our companies as well as with ourselves.
• Value Add –  It may be that our greatest value is in getting meaningful things DONE.  We are uniquely market-driven.  Our objective in assisting companies with these market based, strategic initiatives is to act as an active partner in co-developing value for all stakeholders – with a sense of urgency.
